FastCAD v7 Downloads

These updates apply to versions 7.22 and earlier only. An update license purchase is required to update to version 7.5 products.

All of our customers know that buying a version of our software gets you over a years worth of frequent free updates - updates that enhance the program's performance, add features, and respond to the needs and requests expressed on our BBS. This is where we make good on that promise.

If you currently have a version prior to 700b33 installed, you will need to download a new base-level full install, and reenter your authorization data. This is due to the inclusion of the Lightworks rendering engine starting with 700b33 and the desire to avoid large update downloads. Updates now only contain changes since the 700b33 base version.

This update will overwrite certain default files. If you have amended your menu, macro or standard icon (config) files, or if you are using a third party add-on, please back up any files with the extension .mnu, .imn, .mac, .cfg into another folder/directory before running the setup program.

Please note that there have been extensive changes to the manual and help files and that new ones must be downloaded separately from updates.

OpenGL Rendering Support for your OS

W95-OSR2, W98, NT4, and W2000 all have OpenGL support build in. If you are still using the original W95, you should probably upgrade your OS. If you do not wish to do so, you will need to install OpenGL in order to use V7. You can download this from Microsoft's web site, then run OpenGL95.exe: Download OpenGL for W95 from Microsoft's web site.

SGI made an excellent and fast OpenGL implementation for Windows, but due to an agreement with Microsoft, no longer makes it directly available. It can be obtained by installing the OpenGL SDK and then selecting the RENDER->SELECT command in V7 and picking the RENDOGLS.DLL render XP: Download the SGI OpenGL toolkit. Note that this is no longer supported by SGI.
